We organise our sessions so that children can choose from a range of activities and, in doing so, build up their ability to select and work through a task to its completion. The staff play with and support the children, as well as observing them to get to know them really well. We are registered for up to 32 children at each session with an adult : child ratio of 1:8 for over 3's and 1:4 for under 3’s. We are open for up to 38 weeks each year during term time.

At each session the range of equipment and activities provide opportunities for the children to gain confidence in their ability when moving and balancing, in the development of their fine motor skills to use tools and handle small objects, and in using our resources to express their own ideas. Children also join in with and respond to role play, music and stories.

Mornings

​Our mornings begin when the children are welcomed into the playroom at 9am. A range of activities are available throughout the morning. A healthy snack, brought in from home, and drink is provided during the morning. The session ends with story time.

Lunchtime

At lunch times we sit together 12-1pm and eat our healthy packed lunch bought in from home. You can choose morning or afternoon sessions, with or without lunch. All day sessions are available if your child is settled staying the whole day.

Afternoons

The afternoon session begins at 1pm and lasts until 3.30pm. A range of activities are available throughout the afternoon. The children may be gathered into a group towards the end of the session, for circle time activities or singing. The session ends with story time.
