EthosWe are committed to enhancing the development and education of children under statutory school age. We offer support to each individual child to help them reach their full potential by providing high levels of care and education within a nurturing environment. Our ethos of 'learning through play' uses structured play activities to promote the development of fine and gross motor skills. Whilst playing and communicating, children are also socialising, learning about the world around them, appreciating and using number, shape and size and developing physical and creative skills. Most important, however, is that they never stop having fun and that they enjoy being children!

ActivitiesAll children are supported in developing their potential at their own pace with the help of their key person. We offer a wide range of activities including painting, play dough, sand, water play, role play, cooking, singing, construction toys, early phonics and writing, early maths and early science, physical activities and more! Through these activities children will develop social skills such as taking turns with others, resolving differences of opinion, group conversation and learning to share and work together.

StructureWe are a registered Early Years provider and undergo Ofsted registration and inspection. Our qualified staff are responsible for the day-to-day running of the group. Using the key worker system, they ensure each child’s individual needs are met using their observational skills and varying the activities accordingly. This is facilitated by the high adult : child ratio we maintain, helping us to give time and attention to each child. Our Preschool is governed by a voluntary Board of Trustees, which consists mainly of parents of children at the group and includes an annually elected chairperson, treasurer, secretary, and at least two other members.
