2 year old Funding Criteria




You may be eligible to apply for funding for your 2 year old if you meet the following criteria.

  • Receive working tax credit and annual income does not exceed £16,190 per year.
  • Receive income support
  • Income based jobseekers allowance
  • Income related Employment and support allowance
  • The guaranteed element of state pension credit
  • Child tax credit and annual income does not exceed £16,190 per year
  • The working tax credit 4 week run on.



Additional criteria

  • Year olds looked after by the local authority
  • Family supported through part 6 of the immigration and Asylum Act
  • If the child has a current statement of Special Educational Needs (SEN) or an education, health and care plan
  • If the child attracts Disability Living Allowance
  • If the child has left care through special guardianship or through adoption or residence order.
